Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate is someone who can lead/motivate a team of developers on large-scale, high-profile projects. He or she must be a self-starter and quick learner, comfortable with a client and also focused enough to follow-through on the day-to-day details of each assigned project – including managing costs, hours, and schedule; reporting financials during bi-weekly PMO meetings; providing weekly status reports; and leading internal and client-facing meetings. He or she may be asked to wear many hats, like managing multiple projects, leading workshops, and writing articles for the company website. Finally, the ideal individual must be passionate about project management. He or she much be willing to follow the rigorous set of project management processes that SSP already has in place, but also willing to contribute new ideas about how those processes can be improved.
Although not required, it would be valuable for the candidate to demonstrate utility, GIS, and/or Esri experience. A Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is also beneficial.
